~ By Sue ~ Having the greatest love for horses My whole entire life Hopes would quickly rise Thinking I would get to ride I got up this morning Anxiously waiting one more time When the phone started to ring He was on the other end of the line Just like always before He started telling me why As he let me down once again It almost made me cry I should have known From all the other lies He always takes away Not to get too excited 10-6-02 |

These small disappointments can mean a lot I know. Hang in there sweet lady. If I had a horse I'd ride it there myself and let you ride to your hearts content.  "The first rule of poetry, write what you know." |

I do not know your circumstances, financially or otherwise, but is not this dream of yours attainable--by yourself? Even if it takes a long time, it seems worth working and waiting for. SmartChick, this was a good work, but so much sadness I felt in it. I hope that whoever this "He" is has realized how much he hurts you when he "lets you down" like that. I hope that he will start keeping his promises to you. Good Luck Best Wishes, Ethel |
