An Ode To My Friend's Friend (whom, by the way, I have never met) |

His name is Rodney. Not knowing him myself, Iassociate him with pictures; in particular, one where every colour on him matches every colour on the couch he sits on, red hair to couch fuzz, blues on his shirt to the blanket, carefully draped on the couch, as if with the sole purpose of matching with his shirt. Having never met him, I wonder if I am qualified to write this ode, but I know't know that I want to meet him, having relegated him to the things that belong to Charlotte, and her current vision of a happy future. I think she loves him first for his hair, she's a sucker for redhead. I can't fault them myself. She says he has great cheekbones. (Well, actually, I'm not sure exactly what she said. I'm sure she used a better word than great). Masculine she calls them - his cheekbones, I mean - and handsome. He has brown eyes, and typical redhead complexion: gorgeous. Or something like that. I only just realized how difficult it is to write an ode about someone you've never met... I give up. I need to change my signature. :D |

At least if it was about someone you know, you would have some idea what to write about. Everything I know about the guy is in this poem. I called my friend, asked her to tell me a little about him, and hung up. Then I had to try and remember what she told me... LOL. She wanted me to write it. Not that I didn't have fun doing it... Kielo I need to change my signature. :D |

Kielo, interesting poem. It's hard to write about someone or something that you know nothing about, isn't it? It's odd, too, when someone ask you to write a poem for them about their likes and dislikes, too. Don't you think? Anyway, you did a good job. Thanks, Ethel |
