From a Jar of Air

marbles and bells
time
worn

listen and feel
how they travel along the crease

to iron the fabric left by hunger
by war and irreverence

magic to air and land
dirty and dented hope

tumbled and warn
with tint of frolic and peace

gather a treasure from one small boy’s pocket
then listen any Sunday

Excellent Martie!! Chris

I like this church of Martie!

Sometimes I just like to look at the treasures laid out on the dresser as I'm putting the kids clothes away. Sometimes it makes me wonder in awe--sometimes it makes me sad, too. Sort of like when my son's favorite Christmas present? Just last year--was a diorama of Ozzy Osbourne--complete with "headless" bats! sigh...

but chuckles to you, Marvelous Marite--you take me a wandering when you write! thank you--

Martie, I read this poem three times already
and I feel I am only beginning to scratch the tip of the iceberg. It is a keeper.

Dented slightly, soiled honestly, your church of hope opens and every day is Sunday. Enjoyed

Martie~I echo what Richard said exactly.
This is wonderful and brought back so many memories of things I have found over the years in my son's pockets.

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is beautiful and I too am admired and touched deeply by the treasures a boy can have in his pockets as he goes to church to pray and find His guidance! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, this brought a tear to my eye, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martie, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

To me, Martie, i had a clear distinct image of imagination left in the Master's hands:  a child.  Funny, isn't it:  how the older we get, the 'less' imagination we have, while the young
hearts can turn any object, any moment,
into playful fantasy!

gosh i enjoy your writing, M.
