M'Lord,
This Lady, has been lonely
for sight of Thee, and come the morn
shall glance from around the turn in the road
knowing the delight she shall feel,
when watching with hazel eyes,
the opening of this gift
that has captured her imagination,
for the one she adores.

The days have been dragon on
since last we met. (who dost speak of this one
not having a sense of humour)
'Tis but a shame
that togetherness shall have to wait
another fortnight...then all shall be revealed.
Take this, another token of my love,
and light a candle in the night,
whilst I dream of the warmth from its glow.

Your Lady in Wait,
Ollyne

In explanation: I, Lady Ollyne am in a Romance War at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. And as such I must gift my chosen love each week until the closing...whence on that date we shall meet face to face. I have chosen to have each gift accompanied by a Lady Ollyne poem..those which I have posted  for the last few months...adding a special touch to mine.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

"O, learn to read what silent love hath writ:
To hear with eyes belongs to love's fine wit"...Shakespeare

Dear Lady - When at last you do meet face to face - I wish for you smiles of pleasure and joy - such as your poems bring to me. Chris

ROTFL.
"The days have been dragon on
since last we met. (who dost speak of this one not having a sense of humour)"

BRAVO! I love it. Dragons rule.

Truly, a gift worth receiving.

Thank you.

Fair Lady,
Thy gift for craft shines through.
I thank thee for sharing it
with the rest of us.

Enjoyed the poem
Which I’m sure your mystery man will also,
One question?
What type of Candle does it Hold?
