life
contains many blessings
challenges
opportunities
sometimes
when it’s happening
it can steal away
moments of solitude
moments to record
with ink or stain
its effects
upon one’s soul
one’s heart
one’s mind

desire to grasp,
anew,
moments to ponder
increases.
I steal away, then,
robbing but a few seconds
to affix my memory
to parchment

I have had the blessings of much work lately!!  Joy, joy, joy! Yet, though it promises to afford my living, it doesn't afford much time to write and enjoy the wordsmithing nor the reading I'd like to do here. Forgive my absence and brief visit, now, and praise God with me for lucrative labor.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

This is lovely. I don't know why it was sitting with no replies. It's grand! Enjoyed!

I am so pleased that you are getting more work, and I am also pleased that you managed to write and post this poem this morning. It's wonderful! So insightful and oh, so true!

Have a great day! You deserve it!

Thanks, White Rose, I posted it late last night and if a poem doesn't get read, it won't be replied to, hehe.

Thanks for reading and taking time to comment.

I do believe that many/most can relate to its premise.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thanks, Earth Angel, so glad you enjoyed and thanks for being happy for my abundance of work. And now I need to hit the shower for today's subbing in 2nd grade.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
