The Shield

Hi Sue ~~ A shield can be such an important thing to guard and protect from hurt and pain. My friend, I hope one day, you will be able to take it down and let your heart flow free again.

Hi, Sue! You certainly can write this heart-breaking poetry very well!---I just wish you hadn't had to do so much personal research!
Sounds like you've been to hades and back---but slowly, but surely your heart is on the mend. You say you'll never take that shield down from around your heart, but never is a very long time. I think that the day will come when you will quite willing open up your loving heart again---it just needs a little more time right now.
