Missing Puzzle Piece

Watching you as your world
is turned upside down
maybe a little inside out
in a mess and just all thrown around
Your determination just never leaves
the strength you find deep inside
to make all of the pieces fit for you
I quietly wait in the background
ever wondering if I will ever again
be the missing piece of your friendship
thru the times of this disarray
to the times of the happiness
that you are searching so hard to find
knowing that healing takes a long time
to really break down the walls
for the missing piece to fit for you.

For now all I can give you is friendship
to be the best friend you ever had
to be there with open mind and shoulders
helping with every inch that I can give
for all I want is your happiness
to be there forever and ever
to make sure that you remain happy
and that nothing ever hurts
your heart and your feelings again

This I take as a vow to you as a friend
for you deserve the best in life
in your heart and in your mind
knowing that a friend is always there
to help without even asking
but is just there.

Thank you for being my friend
and maybe someday,
well just maybe someday
we can once again be more than friends
but until then, I will be your best friend
to help and give you all that I can.

This is very sweet. What a lovely thought in verse. I enjoyed this piece very much!
