The attraction was ineluctable
panting so close to the surface
begging to be expressed

I took you out,
a date feigning innocence
complete with chaperone
but there you were,
charging the air around
me with your presence,
eyes speaking what
your lips did not

The movie played like
background noise
compared to my libido
so complete was my attention
to you

Clumsily, I reach
desperately, you grasped
pulling my fingers to your lips
sipping the tips in the dark
awakening every nerve
I thought dead

six years, my love
& I'm still feeling the
after shocks...
