According to this link, yes, you've written a cinquain.  However, then there is this version,
http://jfg.girlscouts.org/How/make/cinquain.htm

which, as you can see, differs a bit from the previous.

Then you have this general breakdown:
quote:
Cinquains contain twenty-two syllables distributed as a
2, 4, 6, 8, 2 pattern in five lines.
Line 1: Title (noun)- 2 syllables
Line 2: Description- 4 syllables
Line 3: Action- 6 syllables
Line 4: Feeling (phrase)- 8 syllables
Line 5: Title (synonym for the title)- 2 syllables

Yep, I think you done wrote a cinquain...

Yay, this is a cinquain and such a wonderful one! (smiles) I believe we all have the music in our hearts and if we keep dancing our own rhythm we will find our place on the stage! (big hugggsssss) This is fabulous, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you Sunshine, I learned something from you today and from Earth Angel who got me started.

It seems Hearts_Dance that you and are both learned something. Thank you for your commnet. I'll be looking for yours.

Noah, So good to hear from you. Your last poem really got to me. I was happy to see your recent one to Joanna.

Thanks all

Are you sure this is the first cinquain that you have ever written? This reads like it came from the quill of an experienced writer of cinquains. This is really well done!

Thank you Enchantress,

I feel like I've just been given an ice cream cone except that it is shared knowledge. I guess this old dog can still learn a few tricks.
