How simple be the simple song! Oh may I go a-minstreling? Should all my songs be bells on toes-- or the extreme of posturing? Perhaps I'll throw away the lute forgetting harp and string. I wish I had no need of words-- but how else shall I sing? I wish I could express the jazz in a bluejay's lilting twill. I wish that I could type a ~rest~ as silence is most powerful. I want to pitter-patter thought as raindrop falling on tin roof-- I wish to turn me inside-out... I want to be your perfect tune. I want to wrap you in the arms of wind that brings remembering. Casting spell of lyric charm-- Come with me, a-minstrelling. [This message has been edited by serenity blaze (09-29-2002 12:52 AM).] |

Truly captivating. I loved it. Maybe one day, (in a thousand years) I'll be able to write as well as you. Until then, I can keep reading, and enjoying. Kielo |

"I wish I could express the jazz in a bluejay's lilting twill." Me too! That would be a really cool tune. |

Karen~~You have sung a wonderful song here. I believe the best music comes from the heart, as your poem. No words just that special feeling to share with someone special in your life...Paul I want to pitter-patter thought as raindrop falling on tin roof-- I wish to turn me inside-out... I want to be your perfect tune. I really like this stanza. [This message has been edited by Paul Wilson (09-29-2002 03:33 AM).] |

"I want to wrap you in the arms of wind that brings remembering. Casting spell of lyric charm-- Come with me, a-minstrelling." (smiles) Soooooooo beautiful, sweet friend, this reminded me so much of little girls Christmas-caroling door to door then thinking of me serenading my Joanna from below her bedroom window in the summer! (big hugggsssss) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love it, may true love always be your troubadour, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Pine forth with lute and harp and let the music play. Bring hither many pints of ale whilst we dance away the day. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |

This may sound weird and have me committed but I heard the voices in my head singing as I read this Consider yourself fuzzed [This message has been edited by FuzzyFrazzledFraggle (10-01-2002 11:36 PM).] |

"I wish that I could type a ~rest~ as silence is most powerful." Serenity...you do, but you add a zest. I think you are pretty amazing. |

thanks...this is one of those things that I kind of got some satisfaction from--I was reading and studying about the troubadour--and wanted to not only capture the meter (I did indeed fail there) but the whimsy and sheer musicality of what makes legend memorable. Smiling...because? what amazes me? is before there was writing? there was POETRY...oral history...(and yes, I know, I won't even go there...grin...unless? tsk to me... ) |
