We live in a world of illusion, minds numbed by the light of the screen. The line of reality is bent, as we grow old, watching like a dream. Sometimes, for brief instants, we awake and see for the first time. Hope and hopelessness wage war as we are faced with the ultimate crime. The husband, the wife, the children, all are caught in the lure of its beauty. Each being called by a siren song, their very souls, the siren's booty. |

I really enjoyed your poem, even though I'm not positive what it's about. My guess is it's about watching too much T.V. Please let me know... Paul |

It is about our very changing technological world and the way the society now looks through the world by looking at flickering screens......rather than experiencing its full beauty the way god intended it.....by getting out there |

Okay... Now I see. I was close in one since, because I really believe most poeple watch to much T.V. and other modern marvels. I agree we should get out into nature and discover what mother nature has to offer, to experience the gifts of life. Thanks for the answer... Paul |
