Vow Of My Friendship

to you
I make this vow
forever
I shall soothe
your brow
you
I shall
never desert
in joy
or in hurt
I am
always here
to gently calm
all your fear
and this is where
I shall stay
I am just
a breath away
and be
your strength
when scared
never alone
but shared
this
is my vow
it
shall always be
forever can you
count on me

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

Lucky be those, that receive a pledge, such as this.

Took a bit from my cynicism, thanks.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

Helen~Truly a wonderful poem and vow.
It really seems to go hand and hand with one you posted a day or two ago, " Sweet Dessert"
They seem like they were written for each other. Both of them show such love and dedication. Enjoyed...Paul

This needs to be bumped, because I heard these words over 24 years ago.

I knew it!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
