Go to your phone. Invest in God. It only costs $40. Go to your phone now. When you are being moved by the Spirit, go to the phone, obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. It only costs $40 to invest in God. Such a deal. (At least, that's what the guy on TV just said.) But I only have $35 left in my account!!!! (sigh) Oh Kacy, it too saddens me to see so many use their money to try and seek answers through another's point of view on God when the best offer of all is just by asking Him, God Himself, for nothing at all except faith. (big hugggssssss) This is wonderfully said, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Those TV evangilists Ain't they fine? Savin' them souls On our dime. What religion's Jimmy Swaggert? He seems to do quite well, He's a rich and famous preacher, And "saves" the whores all for himself. |

I've gotten a mesage from "On High", that if I don't receive one kagillion dollars by sundown Friday, HE will call me back. Why didn't someone call that bluff? Huh? Sheesh! ~Ed Wasn't there a line in a "Stones" tune? [This message has been edited by wranx (09-28-2002 08:50 PM).] |

Kacy, It cost way more than that to invest in God. It cost everything. Trouble is then he expects you to manage it for Him. Toe, You can't be irreverent. That was Jimmy Swaggarts job! LOL Wranx, Sorry! You lose, that was Oral Roberts. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. LOL at some of these replies, guys. Marilyn Manson said "God is in the TV." And everyone thought he was irreverently joking! My daughter says those TV evangelist women all look like cheap street walkers, with ten pounds of makeup on and tight clothing. And she never saw Tammy Faye Baker. OK, Q of the day, is there ANY TV evangelical show that in any way inspires spirituality???? [This message has been edited by Midnitesun (09-28-2002 09:25 PM).] |

Reminds me of that song, 'Sign'. 'When they passed around the plate at the endin', Lord, I didn't have a penny to pay. So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign. Said, 'Thank you Lord for thinkin' about me. I'm alive and doin' fine.' And as for your question, I read a book once by Robert Schuller, before he became so Hollywood. It was a very helpful, inspiring book. |

smiling...you wrote my mind---I was thisclose to posting a little ditty called 1-900-SELLOUT---big wide grins-- and in answer to your question? I USED to be a fan of Joyce Meyer. I thought her original teachings very downhome and earthy, even when I disagreed with the language. Now? hmmm...I dunno...OH wait...there WAS this little midget woman, I forget her name--but she would sing with little Casio keyboard, in total ecstacy--and I was enthralled with her. Can't say I remember a single word she said, but I was always amazed, thinking, "now SHE is in a happy place!" grin loved this, you |

Martin, sad to say, they make millions, and I don't see what they do except buy flashy gaudy furniture and Hollywood makeup jobs. Duncan, glad you found some comfort. Gold? those preacher shows are funnier than SNL sometimes. Thanks for the visit. Karen, I'd like to see that little lady you mentioned. And maybe read your 'almost' post someday? |
