This I Am

I am brush of lips
in velvet glide
liquid in
tenderness tide
wind blown steps
on a sandy ledge
which can be
touch of edge
warmth in
spark of fire
kindling silently
of a timeless desire
a chance
purposely not taken
a heart that knows
not mistaken
this I am
and so much more
the stir of sea
that washes over
the shore
but there is flaw
there is a fault
in the sweetness
there is salt

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

I like the rhyme and flow of this poem, the short lines work well and you glide from one image to another. very good.

Seems quite enough and more than most. I like the quiet confidence in this.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".

(smiles) Yes, there is salt in the sweetness always but the sweetness will always out-taste the bitterness! (kiss on cheek) These are wonderful "bitter-sweet" words, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Helen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Is it a fault
if within the wet
The taste of salt
is of lovers sweat

Nice twist at the end, Helen. Salt isn't always bad, though.

Hugs 2 U!
