I sail upon uncharted seas
by guide of dated map.
I plot my course accordingly,
believing world is flat.

I should have rode the she-dragon--
tsunami within flirt of ledge.
I should have rode her all the way.
But I dropped anchor on the edge.

I see shadows dancing feet,
between the line of is and was.
A dance of grotesque puppetry--
dangling from a rope of pause.

I burnt that map long ago,
Where I was going I didn’t want to know,
What ever edge of any abyss
I didn’t care if I fell in or did miss,
I just want to sail the unknown sea
Exploring whatever is around me
Drifting where the current will flow.

Excellent Karen!  I loved the images this brought to mind. I could see you halt and screech at the edge of the cliff ... left dangling there in mid-pause. Very much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

(sigh) Oh Karen, I too envisioned you dangling off the chasm and defying gravity propelling in mid air looking between what will be and what is now! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karen, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Anchor off the cliff --
long time before it hits bottom;
might not take you with it.

Loved it.

There is much I'd like to say about this one, but for the moment I am speechless and that is a rare feat you have achieved.
