I Cried I held you in my arms, That cold, lonely night, I breathed in your scent, And cried I dug my hands, Into your fur, And stared into, Your beautiful eyes. Thinking of you now, I can’t help but smile, But then all I could do, Was cry Your love was like a river, Never stopping, ever flowing, Like the tears on my cheeks, As I cried The tears came, Faster then before, As I thought of tomorrow, Without you by my side. As your tail thumped, Against the floor, While I cried You were comforting me, When I should have been , Comforting you. You were sick, And still, You tried, And I cried I held you close that night, And I always will. When your heartbeat stopped, And your eyes closed, My heart broke in two, I didn’t want to go on, And I cried |

Stephanie, Now I have the following in my head: "I died Eating french fries. On the corner of the restaurant where you broke my heart. "I cried, 'cause I bit my tongue. I hope truth washes over you like a rash." I Died, Bif Naked |

Welcome to Passion!! I cried and cried rivers of tears when we had to put our beloved pet down. Good write. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

We just lost our little pet not long ago, and it is very hard to do. You wrote this well. Welcome to Passions and enjoy your stay. Looking forward to more from you. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... |

Stephanie, my dog used to hold me just like this when I was young and troubled. I think one of my very first posts here at Passions was about my own dog. Welcome to Passions, and please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting. Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound [This message has been edited by Sunshine (09-22-2002 08:35 AM).] |

That was nice. I have lost some real close dogs and some I never said goodbye to. If I had it would have been with your poem. |

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! You have debuted at PIP, hitting a home run! Although this was a very sad subject---the death of your beloved pet---(and you almost had me in tears as well because you wrote so vividly!!)--I did, however, enjoy reading this poem. Keep 'em comin'! I look forward to reading more! ~ smiles across the miles ~ Earth Angel |

You have really encapsulated those feelings, loosing a pet is loosing some1 you love, loosing a member of the family that can never be replaced. This poem keeps the memory alive and conveys the thoughts, feelings and memories you have in a really heartfelt way. |

A pet truly is a part of the family. Welcome to Passions and your poem brought both sadness and a smile. |
