I had always lacked confidence From the day that I was born Some days were filled with negatives And I felt sad and so forlorn But one day I found my calling As I took my pen in hand Soon the positives took over As my heart held firm command I opened up my heart to you As you looked into my soul No longer was I frightened Finally my life felt whole I continued to pen my feelings Sending them far across the sea The friends I've made are many I feel much warmth surrounding me I would write about my life And my infinite love of the sea You would read about my father And see how much he meant to me My words of love and romance Would cause your hearts to soar I would often write of lovers Whose feet barely touched the floor Every facet of my writing Shows a different side of me As I indulge myself much further Into my love of poetry I am in motion |

Sue, there is a saying that writing is good for the soul and for you dear friend, it seems to be true. You have blossomed like the beautiful flowers in your garden. I am so grateful to be able to read your words as you share your heart and be your friend. Hugs ~~ Marti |

(smiles) Oh Sue, you have gone such a very long way, and I am so blessed you are here with us all and I truly believe it is your fathers spirit and all your loved ones that is helping you forward and I know with your golden flower heart you will find the most wonderful joy! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! It is the you, that was always there, that you just found a path to, Sue. In a pleasant sort of way, your poem was almost directed to a personna: Poetry, like it was alive. Then again, it is isn't it? Alive. . . jeff [This message has been edited by ShadowRider (09-20-2002 10:28 PM).] |

True..everyone can relate I am sure..you know..I consider my pen my sword and my paper my shield..I admit I sway to the negative side of things, but it feels so much better when I get it out and share and get positive feed back from myself by pouring it out and from my friends and strangers who comfort me by saying they care and relate going into my library most definately! |

Sue, And what a gift you have given so freely to us! Excellent write. If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
