I am naught but shards of glass
held together with soft lead
prayers pleading, “Have mercy”
for all that I have done in past.

I am just an opaque view
of inner fade and outer blue--
everything we long to do
is held within our grasp.

Tell me that you see it too--
miracles in edge of shine.
Tell me I am rancid, yet,
I’m water, changing to fine wine…

Let me my lungs breathe pipe organ
and bellow name of God--disguised...
within the notes of love composed
singing in a holy choir.

with fingers crossed

And it turned out beautifully, Karen...
How did you get your picture into the stained glass?
I love the poem too... both are especially lovely and especially you.

like the idea my friend of the image and the lines..of the person being but bits of colored..... obvious you struggled to make the visual work here..and without it quite honstly the poem would lose some of its impact on the reader. The words are wonderful.... the image adds to it...

Wooohooo!  Serenity ... you did it!!!

This is just wonderful!  The work you put both into the graphics, and the poem is really amazing, and the flow between the two compliment each other beautifully. You did a great job on this Karen ... keep up the excellent work, my friend!

Best wishes and great big hugs,
/Kit
