Should I see the babe a swaddling As pure and pink as spring Should I know the moments waddling In the songs but once to sing A song is sung, a lullaby soft tender notes to quell the fear. A song is sung, please do not cry. For I am here, to dash one’s fear. For I see a son and daughter All the best my life creates Shall the times so softly saunter In surprise appreciates The rivalry of two, ages in between The fuss, the fight, not me but you How can they love, yet be so mean? How can they say those words they do. Should I see the marks worth making As the art to grace my walls Should I know a time worth taking In the moments coo and calls We gave them life that we might give the world a gift of smiling faces. I’ll guard and keep long as I live I would not ever trade places. For I see a child beside me A most precious gift to get Shall I keep the past held tightly In sunrises never set Each rise a grain of endless sand given by Him to count and keep I’ll touch so light, this little hand as I sing you softly asleep. Oh, this tender duet pulled at my heart strings. ---I miss my babies! They grow up so fast. This is a wonderful collaboration by two incredible poets---and human beings! ~ smiles & hugs to you both ~ Linda |

Yay!!! Oh my gosh, do you ntwo ever stop coming out with such wonderful poetic beauty, sweet friends, this is wonderful, yep, kids can do the darndest things to each other but the love is the most wonderful thing they share and deep down the love of siblings only grows stronger! (BIG GROUP HUG) This is fabulous, sweet friends, we all love you both so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Barry and Kathleen, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Kathy, thanx much for giving me the ammo to add my humble fatherly words to...You put the meat on the table and all I did was add the spuds.... Thanx much for the priviledge...Always enjoy each one, and this was relatively painless....no jousting.. Gridley... |

The precious gift of a child. The both of you have captured this wonderfully. I enjoyed this very much. Chris Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

A child.....what a precious gift, as is this gift of words. Thanks to you both. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... |
