Tendencies To Touch An Emotion

It is tendencies to touch an emotion
often making the reader ask why
or giving the gift of gentle recall
that brings a tear to their eyes.

A sharing of hopes and dreams
memories held through the years
a laying of hearts on the line
throughout the joy and tears.

Heartstrings are played in softness
words are written in sweet release
to share this moment so precious
of sweet tranquility and peace.

The wondrous writing of a poet
words are pure poetry in motion
a very special sort of person
with tendencies to touch an emotion.

{dedicated to the bright sun in my days
who always knows how to touch the reader!
}

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...

This is absolutely lovely. From your comment at the bottom of the poem, it appeared to me that you were writing about our beloved Sunshine---if you were, I totally concur!---but may I also add, that what you have written applies to you as well!

P.S. This new photo of yours is so creative and mystical and ethereal and lovely!

~ May Sunshine continue to light up your day!

And there is nothing better than sunshine and memories to brighten our day with soft and pleasing emotions. Especially if written by an admired poet.

This is was very enjoyable to read.

I believe that all poets have such tendencies.  You my poet friend are included in that circle.  Hugs to you.

I do believe I'll also keep this one, Donna.     We all write for different reasons.  I write because I want the reader to glimpse my feelings and know they are so much like their own.  I also write to share a part of who I am.  This is beautiful, my friend. *hugs*
