Terpsichore's Garden
By: Noah Eaton
8/17/02

Click your heels, close your eyes
Trespass the en passant by suprise
Sweetheart, open your eyes
And sing to me...
With your iris plume
Your sighs can cast typhoons
Your kiss is like the delicate honeydew
How must I sing to Thee?

How do you make the fawns chase the butterflies and frolic?
How do you open the windows of the orchids?
How do the nymphs envy your charisma?
I swear, in your garden
I'll never rid of this rainbow insomnia...

Whirl on your pedestal, with your plectrum
On the Kendal green I'll suntan in your spectrum
Limber in the lilacs with your lilluputian lullabyes
Let me lick the spoon of Achelous
And taste the symphonies of the sirens
Angelic vampires that you gently curse me with...

Take me out dancing tonight
Take me out dancing tonight
We'll have a blood bath in the sunset skyline
Take me out dancing tonight
Whirl in my Zephyr
Whirl in my Zephyr
Softly in your muse I will tremble and quiver
Synthesizing the Pandean pipes to your listener supporting
I'll whirl in your orchestra of pleasure

Click your heels, close your eyes
Trespass the en passant by suprise
Sweetheart, open your eyes
And sing to me...
How must I sing to Thee?
My Muse of undefined beauty...
[/i]

Noah

You write with such passion, with eyes that fill up and explode with wonder.  Beautiful expression here.

fantastic stuff, love the phrase "rainbow insomnia"

are you sure you haven't just borrowed someone's picture and you're really 93 with the wealth of knowledge that that many years have brought to you?

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
