It comes and goes without notice
Love is bittersweet, its amazing when its there
And it hurts more when it leaves**

Yesterday as I watched you,
You shook all about
Said all was fine, nothing to worry,
Then we began to shout.

Said you wanted to leave me
Although I knew it was a lie
You needed me to console you
As you began to cry

Thoughts filled with confusion
As I fought back the tears
Filled with heartache and anger
As I thought of the past years

Why was I thinking of this?
After you’d hurt me so
I wanted to shove the memories far behind
And let the tough me show

I couldn’t fight the breakdown
That our episode caused
I thought you were the one for me
Then I slowly paused

Something else was hurting you
You said lets just be friends
You said your life without me
Would ever so quickly end

You sobbed until you could not breathe
Then I finally knew
I caught my breath and stopped my tears
As I laid my eyes on you.

I knew you still needed me
I saw it in your eyes
Everything you had just said to me
Had been complete lies

You told me to hold you close
Because you hurt so much
You told me that you loved me
Needed to feel my touch

Sometimes people who love us, can say very hurtful things--but often their lashing out is because of their own pain, issues, or disillusions in life.

This was a very honest and moving piece of writing.

Thanks guys.
I really dont think ive written anything in this forum for a verrry long time. Maybe its because I havent felt such pain in so long, and maybe since that seems to be the bottom of all my writing, it could be why.

Brightened up my day as much as possible.
I definitely agree, that not everything that is said is meant.
