Sink me in your bands of gas.
Color me your atmosphere.
I am lost within your eye,
such a storm, such red of leer.
I cannot help but hope,
on your trip to ring the sun,
that you find the night a face,
set the sky in dot of one.

From here just blue-orange speck,
the smallest smudge of mica chip.
Banking clouds swallow you up,
drop of water which to sip.
Will you rain your storm on high
from such far and distant place?
You wear rage like such a gift.
I wear sadness, rain's dark lace.

Watch tree shadows split the walk.
You are nothing but a rock
wearing sky to wear you down.
Lace tied tighter. So to drown.
As I sink and fly and float,
will you turn your eye toward me?
Reach out one synapse in stroke,
give me lightning's sympathy.

You give me giggles without even trying...WHAT A POET! You are a mystic, even!

Jupiter...planet of luck, yanno...

By JOVE, I think you've got it...

oh my...you are a tour de force--ALWAYS, but lately? You are just about blowing me away.

"cannot help but hope,
on your trip to ring the sun,
that you find the night a face,
set the sky in dot of one."

I could go on and on (again) but I promised ME (and YOU) I'd cut that out. But oh this is so rich in symbolism...set the sky in dot of one...I'm never sure if what I inferr is what you exactly imply (but izzit that important? enough that the emotion transfers, yes?) I'll shaddup now...and yep? grin, I've been in the coffee again...don't tell, but I had some hidden that still had CAFFEINE----mmmm yummmy.

signed,

The Caffiend

ROTFLMAO. Sorry, but I didn't get past the first line yet.

"Sink me in your bands of gas."

That's exactly what someone did to me yesterday. I am still in recovery. I promise to come back to this one later.

Hey, Sen.

Please, go on to your caffeinated heart's content. I always love your interpretations/insights.

I'm just a sad, sad guy recently, is all. And for some reason, I imagined Jupiter turning its red eye to watch me.

The set the sky in dot of one is two-fold -- either set the sky with Jupiter as you would a jewel, or, perhaps that the sky is nothing but a dot to begin with.

I wish Lori would come back to PIP. I miss her.

What a mystically beautiful poem.
"I wear sadness, rain's dark lace"
Captivating line!  A sorrowful soul writes a beautiful poem.

LOL, yep! I am a personal care provider right now, and I received a personal thank you for a well cooked dinner.

Jupiter's in my house right now---and it's having a wonderful effect on my life!

I really enjoyed this piece of writing ---and the subject matter!

Mike,

What can I say that has not already been said.

You have a talent for the soft tat of lace in words, mixed with just the right amount of darkness to weave magic when you write.

Ha, bet I did a good job of saying something different huh?

Loved this!

Speak to me in whispers,
I'll listen with my heart.

Thank you, everyone. And Linda, I had no idea where Jupiter was in relation to the zodiac -- I just wrote about it 'cause it seemed right.

And Anne, yes, you definitely did write something different. I appreciate your effort.
