Are we any closer to a world freed from hate, After 'bout a year has passed-- What can we celebrate? I really see no true sense of an accomplishment Only more lives wasted Thank You Mr. President! You started on a Mission to stop the violence Now! You called upon your allies With many bombs you wowed! But it seems retaliation has gone straight to your head, You couldn't get Ben Laden-- now you want Saddam dead! What happened to America our peace-loving nation? All you want is to provoke our enemies retaliation! Is that the way to make for a more peaceful sphere? Or just to make a name for self-- promoting a war-mongers fear? As 9-1-1 rolls around again I regret, but I think it's true, The splintering of a factious world is what we're going through. It's time we came to our senses-- this world is a real mess, And with the current policies We are not greatly blessed! Randy |

I don't know that it is a celebration, but rather, a remembrance. So much discussion still to be had, and yet, we must remain vigilant in that an event like this does not occur again. Welcome to Passions. I believe you will find it very interesting here, especially in our Discussion area. Please, check your E-mail for a Special Greeting! Karilea |

Welcome to Passions. I can't say as I agree with your point of view, but I respect your right to say what you feel. This is very well written. |

I fully and wholeheartedly share your opinions. It seems to me that our president is trying as hard as he can to start a fight when we should be trying to resolve this whole weapons of mass destruction matter peacefully and responsibly.. WHAT WE HAVE HERE IS A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE |

(tears fall down my cheeks) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is a powerful heartaching debut of compassion and analyzing, so much is wrong in America indeed as is all the world and together I wish for us all to look away from violence as the answer and work rather to make peace and be secure at the same time! (big hugggssssss) This is very powerful, I LOVE IT!!! Welcome to Passions, sweet Randy, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much, tonight I will pray with you and all others! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Randy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Welcome to Passions. The world is no closer to Peace than it was year ago, or ten years ago, or 1000 years ago. Perhaps we are not smart enough as a species to figure out how to live together without fighting. |

Your poem gets your view across well. We may not have caught Bin Laden but the campaign in Afghanistan was worthwhile in my opinion. We brought democracy to a people that have known only oppression. First under communism and then the Taliban. Today the people of Afghanistan are allowed to read the news and the women are allowed to go to school. People say the war on Iraq will hurt the Iraqi people. Removing Saddam and his cruel regime can only be a good thing for the people. This is a man who rules by fear, who has murdered his own people. This is a man that should be in a prison cell not in charge of a country. The fact that he finances terrorism and is building weapons of mass destruction is a secondary issue. No amount of talking is going to make him see the error of his ways, only force can remove him. Zall |
