Come what may in September, there are children who need hugs and seniors who need warm rugs, for winter will soon be here and I choose not to fear what may befall us in the grip of chill. Memories are sometimes best tucked away for another day when the sun shines high in the Eastern sky. And that doesn't mean my heart does not beat, the numbers were just too high for me. I never did enjoy higher math. |

I understand completely how you are feeling at this point in time.... I am sure there are a fair number of others too who are sooo overwhelmed with the date as it approaches. It is hard to look and listen anymore when you have so much trouble counting that high and you can't stop asking Why? For an entire year the world (atleast a good chunk of it) has lived in rage, disgust and sorrow at the events of last September. If we could just convince the entirety of our leaderships all at once to wipe the slate clean and live in peace, To not want to exterminate someone for being different, not want to retaliate after .... I am just dreaming John Lennon's dream right now. Imagine..... Love, Light and PEACE!!!! already Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |

(big hugggssssss) Oh Kacy, we all understand how you feel, it is a day of so much tears and it is hard for me to put it in words too as I don't know what to say not because I'm selfish but because it is overwhelming! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are a delight and warmth to us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, hank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Gotta "echo" EAngel on this. ~wranx In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward". |

A day I'd rather forget but a year later, barely a moment of it has faded. I found myself tonight remembering the night before, Sept. 10, a year ago. The restaurant and the bar were packed with people watching Monday Night Football. Happy, blissfully ignorant people, getting crazy over a football game. The very next night, there was noone other than employees and maybe 2 regulars. And where the night before football had played on the big screen and half a dozen other, smaller ones, Tuesday night replaced sport with those horrible images, over and over again. Thoughtful, honest write, Kacy. Much appreciated. |

Thank you, each one of you. I'm sure we will all be thinking about what happened even if we choose not to surround ourselves with those images again on the TV. Once was enough for me. I found great comfort here in Passions last September, so this is where I choose to spend my 'anniversary' date. May ripples of LOVE |

Pretty much summed it all up I liked the sombreness of this piece. The gladness, too, and the reminder to always cherish those around us...to care for those who need caring for And especially the sad sad ending "I never did like higher math" truly the losses tolled high |

Kacie, I think many of us found comfort in these pages of blue during that time. Hugs for writing this. If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream... |

There will always be Septembers, even when we forget the dates. Thank you. What light through yon window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. |

Geenabee, welcome to Pips. Thanks for reading, and for your thoughtful reply. Gentle Donna, thank you so much. Romeo, hopefully not the same as last September. But sadly, there are too many tragedies around the globe...probably enough to fill the calendar with an entire year's worth of suffering stories. But I'm choosing to mark my calendar with positive steps toward peace and harmony, and trying very hard to focus on Love rather than Hate. Thanks for reading, thinking, and responding. |
