Would indeed the clouds
puddle neath the prying eye
of Sol
set so high above that to him
not even the giants with lightning
are specks on the cornea
to in dazed distraction watch flit
across the surface

Surely not ruled by Sun
yet slaves to him no less
they billow with angry heads
throwing their own sharp spikes
earthward

at humans....mere mortals
that would themselves not be much more
to cloud
than cloud is to sun

Still...
I would feel the drops from such passings
trickle across bare skin
and dance in pagan delight
defying insignificance
while rejoicing in
being touched by both

I Would that you
Could find the way
To touch me too

What a sensual plea!
Ron, you have done it again ... and again ... and again ... ad infinitum

Distance indeed can touch...like rain from cloud to skin, in a drought.  The thirst makes the need very passionate indeed.  Enjoyed!

If it weren't for this fly buzzing around my desk, I think I would just be content to sit here, open mouthed, in awe, at the feel of this piece....

I am so very fortunate to be reading one of the poets who just doesn't get in here often enough...

but when you do come home?  Everyone dances....

Oh, I would love to dance that dance, right here and now.
Beautiful poetry.

Sun we have aplenty - and rain but just a few drops. I wish I could say they've touched me half as much as your poem has..this is wonderful sir.
