I look upon the night the black curtain of sky the sparkling stars that reflect in my eyes, the moon playing shadows a trick of the light a haze from the clouds how eerie the night. Down by the lake moss hangs from the trees more shadow shapes what the eye sees. Creatures it appears dangling o'er the lake awaiting their feast before the day break. The trees in the lake also bare now of green naked and stalking amongst the reeds. I look upon the night with my eyes open wide to see what mysteries the night time does hide. WhiteRose In truth, what defines us is our poetry. |

ooooooh, eerie, really liked it...don't want to stand out there alone though, might be fun to look at through a window while sitting in a darkened house love many lines espcially in this, but these most especially: Senior Member since 07-23-2002 Posts 541 Menopausal Flux 0 posted 08-14-2002 09:33 AM I look upon the night the black curtain of sky the sparkling stars that reflect in my eyes, the moon playing shadows a trick of the light a haze from the clouds how eerie the night. Beautifully worded with a slight edge of the eery... I liked it a lot. ~ hugs from the underground burrow Lyra |
