Laughter

Let humor be a test for thee
A wave and crest to set you free
Or drag your feet along the flaw
Without a hearty loud Guffaw

Laughter has a prickly pose
Like thorns upon a lovely rose
Some will see hilarious
And some will see nefarious

For subtle is the fine rely
Even though it is a lie.
There’s humor in the very core
Within each wave that washes shore.

For laughter is like chicken soup
It cures the whoop of the croup.
And I would say a laugh a day
Will alternate the apples way

So activate your funny bone
And push away the placement stone.

As ever as ever here comes our Sy
with grin and poke and laughter's fly
he pushes at the placement stone
showing laughter IS atone!

I think my laugh nefarious
with humour quite precarious
and yet I get my funny bone
all my poetic thinks to hone
if it doesn't make you smile
perhaps it wasn't worth the while
or if it doesn't make you think
I know it was a waste of ink
so add some spice into the brew
and I will laugh along with you.

Sy look what you made me do; you know I am not prone to poetic replies, usually just prone.
Wonderful poem

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

I love it! I love it!  I love it! No more needs to be said!....I love it!  I love it!
I love it!....Okay, I lied....More words were needed to be said! Ha! Ha! (Gawd, I love a man with a sense of humour-- and who appreciates it in others!)

Ok,  Mr. Chicken Soup.....

We used to have a guy at work that recorded
a repeating tape of chickens clucking, over
and over and over again....  He did this
for MY BIRTHDAY....   Always got a laugh
out of me...

Anywhooo,  to make a short story shorter...

I read your poem,  I noticed the use of the
word floor and guffaw...  Question,  ???

Are you a transplant from up NAWTH.  You
know,  NORTH...spelled the other way...and
said...well...differently....

So,  Floor must be FLAAW, or something like
that...

There,  did I help the grins any???

Great poem Sy. There is nothing better for the soul than a good belly laugh. Giggling is not just for children.

Seymour darling heart see how quickly I scamper back to sit beside you and drink you in. I’m sorry I wasn’t in yesterday, things got rather hectic, but I’m here now and as always totally entranced by your wordy touch.

Just when I believe you have spun all the magic you possibly can you do it again and I’m left wondering at the apparent ease you have in crafting something so wonderful. I love this darling heart utterly utterly love it

The sound of laughter on the breeze
Shakes the wind and stirs the trees
Then when it slides into my heart
It makes those fears all depart
Then its catching me in its flow
It compels me to let go
Then all at once I’m flying free
Soaring in its liberty
Laughter carries my cares away
Makes me smile and my heart play
Laughter covers my soul with glee
No strife or pain can harm me
Reach out for laughter’s hold mirth’s hand
        Maybe then you’ll understand

Awesome writing my dear friend absolutely awesome

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
