you were jouvence blue heedless
   you were bice blue haphazard
       you were cornflower blue fickle
when the lodestar was in variegation
and the sky wore sailcloth without wind
or parish lantern to guide 'til morn

when a plenilune moon
   sunk heavy on nights campo
       and eventide ebbed behind
to rise you from your ground
to float jaunty your bow weight,
did you write the dirge songs then

did you sew the john words dearly
       to my mind shirt's garmenture
that which was the velvet of my love
to the wind did you haw buck harness
did you give guise to my eyes then
with a glimpse of card fall gamble

that I would wear the mantilla of soul water
on pages torn from a cats concert jabber
did you addict me to persion blue adduction
           of gloss glaze concave, gloomed
as a venus of hesper vesper star
or was it just my fascination of imortality

and forget me not jewels of god, in a flowered sky

To hear these read aloud
would make one feel as if having
stepped into twilight zoned alive
with sounds of cajun laughter...

at least, that is what I imagine...

Dark Stranger,
It's just your fascination of imortality

I like this series of sound poems, D.

Can almost hear you reading them out loud. Definitely good poems for public (or private) readings.

(smiles) Wow, this too made me dizzy with all your powerful vocabulary and imagery, sweet friend, I too had the cats surrounding me and playing their lost concert bits, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

My velvet word purse is "filling" up with you. Could you be any more fascinating in this one? What a night verse you pen.

Sincerely,

Dark,
feeling blue, the water must be doing something for I could drown in your words.

Immortality is a fascinating thought..
even more so is the velvet you write of that softens the touch.
