You are my teacher Showing me things I've never known My life has been a journey Through which our bond has grown I went from a little girl To a smart, hyper teen Every stunt I try to pull Are ones you've already seen I remember back when We used to play with my toys Now you're like my best friend Helping me deal with the boys You tell me what to expect That the boys come and go You have my utmost respect Believe me when I tell you so You've helped me shop for make-up Without a glimmer of shame I take about three hours Never once have you complained Thank you for your heartfelt advice Even when it went through my ears Sometimes I must be reminded twice 'Cause I think im wise beyond my years Words can never fully express my gratitude Poems can't effictively sum up my love Sorry for always giving you attitude And leaving the house without kisses and hugs Love Joanna |
