By the window sill, I was seated,
Watching the scenes outside the window,
Yonder on the tree was the nest of a sparrow.
watching the sparrow it’s little one feed.
Oh wingless little one,
You will be soon gone,
Forgetting the love and care
Showered by your dear mother.
Oh little one, as you are vulnerable,
She nurses you till you are able.
She teaches you to fly,
And then you turn sly,
And days after you leave the cozy nest,
that sheltered you from rain and sun,
I still see the Sparrow on the tree rest.
With the sincere hope of your return.
