She cries milk tears.
He holds the glass to catch and drink them.
She makes flowers.
He finds their home within her hair.
She writes seashore.
He sculpts piecemeal the shells of his eyes.
She draws sand hills.
He climbs their peaks to taste that dust.
She drives poets.
He verses slowly line to lineage.
She sees doorways.
He frames their empty face in air.
She knows song bells.
He makes them wring in slow rainment.
She is his hope.
He is hers for holding strong.

My baby writes like Robert Smith.   Actually, this has got a similar pace (though far saner content) to Icing Sugar... I just noticed that.

impress me, or be discarded

I love the poem, Mr.Squirrel...
absolutely love it...
How bout using the last line...
"He is hers for holding strong"

The first line is an interesting title also
"She cries milk tears"

I think either of those will draw readers to read it.
