Grow Old Along With Me midifile Sharing The Life Looking for the reason for loving in my life, Chilled by the wind, frightened by the height, I was so lonely, as I sang my song solo, I could not reach, I could not try, I could not see. Dying in a distant sky, the moonlight touched my face, I was alive again, My wings were free. And when I looked again, I found my life was hidden in your arms, Wrapped around this heart of mine, Keeping me safely in the calm of your love. The skies may darken in the evil of the day. But you are the beacon, That keeps my fears at bay. Sharing our joy, sharing our love, Sharing through life, We'll learn what love can do. With every fibre of my being, I'll show my love for you. And as we travel this path together, Far into the evening of our life, We will remain still in the joy we've found, Sharing our time together husband and wife. Sherry Gardner Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. |

Thankyou, Noah, I am glad to be back here... as you remember that flight trilogy that I wrote a while back... this is it's near conclusion... a fourth part.... Your curiosity has paid off... and not in vanilla coke {choke).... This was actually on the back of our wedding invitations 2 years ago.... and written in about 10 minutes while talking with Wilfred on a computer phone program.... before he moved down to be with me.... the closest I ever got to cyber-dating....LOL Thanks again, you're a sweetie.... My first visit to your works since I was missing in action at the time of your arrival but I must say it is nice to read one that seems to be writing that "and we lived happily ever after" theme. I found something interesting in the read on the first go around so I read it a second time to see if I could figure out what it was....found it........I liked the way you mixed your rhyme at times and then left it out in other places. Felt like a conversation of soft thoughts of recall and appreciation for that moment when things began to become complete. Well done. |

I must agree with Mark's assessment of this. You have penned very uniquely your thoughts and the love certainly flows outward onto the page... |

Well, you did it to me again... happy tears... everytime I hear that song I remember sitting at your wedding driving my fingernails into my palms so I wouldn't drown my makeup. The poem is lovely. As are you. Your heart is in every word. My wish is for you and Wilf to happily grow old together. Love Mom Create something infinite today - Smile!!! |

Sherry, the flute part of the beginning melody was the one voice talking...then, as the person reads the remainder of the poem, the music takes up again with the piano as accompaniment, and then...then we have a treasure...of reading the joy of a duet in fluid motion... this was beautiful, and oh yes...welcome home! |

Nancy~~ I am glad to be back... had a bit of a hiatus here.... kinda busy... Mark~~ I find I learn something new about my own work in the reading of how it translates to others. I am pleased you enjoyed it... by the way, I always try to write "Happily Ever After" went looking for yours.... an unfamiliar name...HMMM... like to know with whom I am talking. Barry~~ Thank you, yes... this one didn't take very long to write... Lyra~~ Thank you, I am happy to be back... I must confess... t'was my mother sending me a link to two of her posts that got me nosing around in here again..... Mom~~ Ahha!!! you remember the song.... I am sorry you had to relive that moment in it's agony.... maybe you should trim them....LOL Thankyou for the wish... God willing, we will. Martie~~ I always seem to use the moon and her relationship to the night in my poetry. This Poem is the sequel to a trio I posted previously entitled Flight. Has to do with spirit (in bird form) searching for her shadow, in moonlight. Karilea~~ I never realized that the music complimented this piece that much. Thanks for pointing that out. I just might change my site to include this midi file instead of the Bard dance that now accompanies it. By the way, the next poem on my site as it is ordered, is called "Welcome Home" too.... thank you for the sentiment. Sherry Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow. But above all... be kind to yourself today.
