I found a picture of you It was all faded and torn I felt a pang of nostalgia Feeling sad and forlorn I remember when we met How our love felt brand new You were the centre of my universe How I'd do anything for you You came into my life And exposed my heart to love I never once took you for granted How we fit like hand in glove My priorities were less important As I gave to you my all But my love was not enough As you ignored my heart's call You left without a note You couldn't even say goodbye Did I mean nothing to you? Was your love just a lie? Now my heart remains defiant Love will come again one day My own life became a priority On the day you went away * * * * Just to let you know that this was not written about a personal experience. I am in motion |

A very powerful write here Sue. I'm glad it wasn't written about a personal experience. In truth, what defines us is our poetry. |

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, I'm so glad this wasn't based on a personal experience, sweet friend, my heart goes out to all those who are left lonely and behind like this as I have faith true love will find all their hearts! (sigh) This is beautiful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton P.S: I just loved the gorgeous card you sent me of Cradle Lake, it is soooooo breathtaking! "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Sue - though this isn't a personal experience you write powerfully for those who have experienced this - lots of empathy and determination here - great poem!! Paul |

Perhaps not personal for you, Sue... but this will fit someone like a hand in a glove... |

Sue: Very poignant write and glad to hear it was not something you personally experienced. Betty Lou Hebert |
