Inside-Out

~*Marge Tindal*~

Across this morn of feathered adorn
in quietude of serenity
I took pause to wonder just who
gifts such thoughts to me~

Then there came soft baring winds
to buffet me about
reached the chasm of my soul
turning me inside-out~

And there they stood in joyous view
as far as I could see
The many faces of those who live
deep inside of me~

Each one holding a vital link
that binds me to my ink-of-think
Individually apart ... yet together they
make me who I am this day~

As each one joined in hand-held circle
I felt such calming ease
Smiling in recognition of gentle face
that came to whisper love ... pure love
in gifting of poetic grace~

To hold them all inside this heart
seemed so selfish of me ...
but when I tried to set them free
they crawled back into the heart of me
To live once more in inking-stain
gently through my poetic refrain~

To stand outside and look within
is to hope you understand
what I mean when I say to you ...
I didn't write this piece ... it was *gifted* to my hand~

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

ah, tis so. Inside resides the poet, our hand the instrument of travel to the outside world. Lovely indeed.

In truth, what defines us is our poetry.

Marge

The many muses of Marge...the loved all clustered together in your care...are the lucky ones.  So enjoyed this!

Marge,  I do believe I understand what you
mean....for there are many times that I have
been given...to then turn around and give
in return....

Love this poem,  such reflection and truth.

Yes, Marge...they are always gifts.  It seems to me that we leave them as small treasures for others to find, to life a spirit, to guide a way...

yes, gifts, indeed...

It takes a heart as big as yours to hold that crowd. *G* But I'm so grateful they refuse to leave you... for as they guide your pen, you give us treasures to cherish. *S* This is beautiful, Miss Marge of the Many Muses. *S*

I like that..."ink of think" line.

Like this so much too..
"And there they stood in joyous view

All good faces I must add and very creative faces!
