“BEAUTY OF A RIVER” by Bill Charles ~~~~ I stand before this elegant river, calm I feel, yet with its strength… Mirror of glass reflections I see, through the valley, along its length… Mountains grow majestic from it, the water nurses them higher still… As far as I can look at the flow, my spine is with spontaneous chill… Pleasing to the eyes when I gaze, aware of its solitude, as I stare… Beauty of a river winding through, entering my soul, becoming aware… ~~~~ |
