Love Will Not Defeat Me

You say you know me well
But do you really know me at all
Would you be my safety net
If ever I was to fall

Your eyes see right through me
As if I wasn't even there
I have my doubts about you
And wonder if you really care

You said you had no feelings
And said my love was now passe
You'd found love in the arms of another
And with me you could no longer stay

But love will not defeat me
For my heart will not lose sight
In my arms I'll find another
To keep me warm throughout the night

So go and pack your belongings
And keep on walking through the door
Soon my heart will welcome another
And upon the wings of love I'll soar

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, I'm so glad this isn't about you, sweet friend, although I know many truly feel this and my heart goes out to them to stay strong and believe love will come on back! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!
