Put flowers in the nose cones of our planes take them from the baskets of our pain the world must learn to love again to fix the wrongs we daily rend on everyone who sees life in a different color Put freedom in the forefront of our plans rise up and fight against the Man the world must learn to live again without revolt it all will end the rich will win while we just live in squalor Dylan knew the times were changing we were too busy rearranging hate with love and feeling groovy baby, if this were a movie we'd be stuck in Groundhog Day a moebus strip in time so, still we seek the long, strange trip the endless summer, Ashbury hip but deep inside we know the Truth falling stocks, towers provide proof for all our screaming in the Sixties we might as well been mimes he's not my brother, he IS heavy the music died there at the levee despite our fight we have become the new proletariat scum the dogma of the rich has laid our karma out to rest take your bags and roll your joints vote for those business annoints it feels good - so you do it revolution? bummer, screw it! who needs a downer mantra now that we think we've passed life's test? we metamorphed into our fathers the world is wrong but who can bother? burn our history, not our bras lets just relax in our spas for in the end - all we did was conform in the end all we did was conform... (big hugggsssssss) Oh Michael, I too am amazed by how radically the idea of protest has changed, you have grasped the 60's spirit so well, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

This was a joy to read, Michael... isn't it amazing how the world can change in 35 years? In the sixties, we wouldn't dare display American flags...and now we fly them with glee from our houses and cars... thanks so much for this well written bit of nostalgia. ~ hugs and peace Lyra |

well..we DID display american flags - but most likely they were patches in our jeans and had a peace symbol instead of a field of stars...lol |
