and she comes as one in loss

words skipping like a brain in synapse d
distress
so close and yet so far

she is distressed,
and I assure her, wait not
for widowing

if she should only wear
her words,
only wear her words,

she would be clothed in eternity…

An interesting thought, though more dour that that work you do to which I have become accustomed.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

An interesting thought, Lady In White...
Before my first husband's death, 3 yrs ago...I hadn't written in years.
After he died, all of these new poetic thoughts came into my mind and I just knew that he wanted me to start writing again...
and here I am!!!!!!

There appears to be a relaionship between widowhood and poetry.....unfortunately.
BTW...I really enjoyed your poem.

I’m afraid I don’t understand this, jellybeans?  Is this a nickname for someone, or another poet here?  But I do like the last part, words are clothing.

the title drew me in as I'd just finished lunch, sounded like a sweet treat for finishing

of course, you, like the doctor are trying to keep me away from too much sugar

I enjoyed the read, very much, nevertheless. I too like the thought of being clothed in words. We really are clothed by that which we speak, aren't we.

Sheesh! I went out to read more and saw jellybeans' poem about widowhood. Now I understand the title, at least.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

(big hugggssssss) This is such a heartfelt dedication, sweet friend, my heart goes out to her too but I know soon she will find all the words she desires and as always she will continue to write with a smile on her face! (sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I really don't know what to say about this, except a sort of dawning awe is taking over my mind...

I have been between 'out' and 'swamped' all week..and if it hadn't been for an angel who sent me a link I wouldn't have had time to find this...
lady...this is so sweet...I am without words...uh oh...does that mean I am unclothed...*smile*...this spawns so many thoughts...now to attempt to put them into words...no wonder we feel 'naked' when our muse grows silent...
this is beautiful...thank you so much
a poet could not ask for more than to be clothed in eternity...thank you again

This is so special to me... for I love both the one thinking and the one thought of. *S*

And to think... she truly doesn't realize how powerful her pen is... or how permanent its impact. *S* Beautiful work, Lady!
