“WHEN THE WIND BLOWS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
I feel the wind cool on my face,
seems to come from everyplace…
It blows away each and every tear,
yet there’s another always there…
They come, falling to the ground,
disappear, never again to be found…
Each one from inside, flowing for you,
feels like a maelstrom, this brew…
Romance is what you always wanted,
it was given until I was addicted…
But one can’t only be a taker,
a return is needed, to the giver…
When the wind blows once more,
I’ll still be writing, as I did before…
And it will take away one more tear,
for this woman I still hold dear…
Bill, it's good to read you again!  This is beautiful in it's melancholy, especially the last stanza.
Take care,
Bill,
I enjoyed this romantic dirge, thoroughly.
This is the first one of your poems that I have come across, since my return, and it makes me want to search the archives for some more.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks for the heartfelt words.
Jason
P.S. I, too, am a fan of the rhyme...
(big huggsssssss) Oh Bill, this is so sadly beautiful, sweet friend, my heart goes out to you and I wish for love to always have you crying tears of joy and when the wind brushes one away, another happy one follows! (sigh) This is touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
