For my Ashley who reminds me everyday that a faery tale is art too :-)

In the world of make believe
there are heroes for today
villians and ghosts
underdogs who have their day.
There are funny little people
and also some grand
beautiful fairies
in a made up wonderland.
All make believe
just for us to enjoy
to remind us of when
we were a girl or a boy.
The land of make believe
where imagination is the key
where words are put together
sometimes haphazardly,
to create for the reader
some fun without measure
each and every one
a literary treasure.

Yes, I remember even now, the wonder of
Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, all the
others....of magic and fantasy that took
me to another place and time....A place
where children can laugh and play and
dream....

Oh, yes....one is never too old for a fairy tale!! Thank goodness there are little ones to remind us that we once had an innocent and wonderful outlook on life!!! Thankyou for this great piece!!

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I love children so much and dream of working with them in the future and getting to make the feel special as they too teach me to hold the little boy in me! Through the eyes of a child--you've captured a bit of the magick of childhood and made me miss my "babies" too...sigh, they are all grown up now at 11 and 12--all worried about their dignity and such...sigh. Thanks for the "rewind".
