When the world seems dark
look for light within
draw strength from yourself
not the world you're living in.

People can let you down
always going somewhere
often they're too busy
to show how much they care.

So when you're in despair
call upon a memory
of a time in your life
when you felt you were free.

When the day seems cloudy
remember fun in the sun
shared with a lover
or a special someone.

Always remember that within
each heart and each soul
are the threads of life
that help us keep control.

So the next time you falter
and find you're feeling blue
look inside yourself
help's waiting there for you.
