Mango’s

My wife would have me feel the mangos
But I would rather wheel the tango
As she passes me her daily list
On all of which she does insist.

We lead a regimented life
As do we all who have a wife
Although it’s share and share alike
There’s no such thing as go on strike.

I would she rather smile the day
Then be a bear of cross dismay
She has a very forceful mind
But does not have a bone unkind.

We row the river stroke by stroke
But I would rather joke-by-joke.
Never wavers her stern of turn
And I would rather cool than burn.

I love her dearly as all can see
That is as dearly, as can be.

Your rose of suppose sets dragon fires and inspires your pen to begin again.
Me thinks she is a very lucky woman.
You get extra hugs for the heart on sleeve sincerity of this gem.

Maybe if ya give it to her...she'll give ya the day off and Randy wont have to go on strike *L*

Hello!
Was thinking of the mango as I read you. How well the fruit ripens over time.  Thought of the comfortable patterns that we get used to, especially in partner...
Now did I tell you, that the other day...I was walking in the market with my list...and the mango reached up and gave me a squeeze...as if to say, "You had the idea!" It seems, you do hold the list my lord.
Great write.
Very best regards, ThisDiamond

sy? It took me 25 years to get to the altar...but I wouldn't have hesitated a nanosecond if I thought I'd have what the two of you share...amazing...kisses to the both of you!

oh...and? it was the title that got me here, as it reminded me of still yet another "true serenity story"--just an example of how I get my way with the boyfr---ooops...husband! I wanted mangoes...but dang it they were rather pricey, and the hub-man was just shaking his head "no." So I proceded to follow him around the grocery, mango's held at *ahem* chest level, saying, "please...they want to BE with you!"

grinning...I got my mango's...

Sey Hey!
"no such thing as going on strike"
that echoes with humorous sentiment here too!  *s*
How does one know a great love?  Imagine a day
or a few of them
without her in it....and you realize the flower of life
is your wife

Great stuff, Sey!
glad i read this and took to heart the words

Where would our wives be
Everytime they yell honey come see
Would you please do this one thing for me
For that's what true love is you see

Seymour darling boy Ohhhhh how I loved this one I really really do. There is something so beautiful about a couple who walk together in step with each other, through time and in spite of it. This is a perfectly fabulous read the metaphor, the joie d’vivre that is coloured by your irrepressible good humour and I love it utterly.

As always darling heart I love it but really do love this one it is really something special you’ve written here. Indeed I swear that Isabelle is singing arias of delight

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

This is a darling poem, Sy....as well as a fine tribute to marriage...
It sounds like yours has been a long, loving relationship....and who can ask for much more than that in a marriage.
