Not a day goes by
do I think of leaving you.

Hours tick by as I think
of the words I wish to say
to you.

I listen for the screech
of the tires; hoping you
won't be home soon.

I pray for a miracle you
will head in another direction
other than home.

I write the truth in my hidden
book, I just wish I had the power
to leave.

My love is brittle.
My soul is weak.
I need a prayer answered not
a day goes by do I wish
for you to disappear.
