In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2002-07-27 10:47 PM

The mornings will grow colder
in later     August
flowers will be in vivid  color,
before the first snowfall carries them away
to their place among earth

The rains
will be bitter, making leaves tremble,
    fires of the mountain
will glow of all natural things

Twilight will    bleed
green and blue as one,
brilliant scenes  painted on tin
coverings

   {I will, as before}

Chase    the dark,
trace   the   black    sense of
something  familiar –

between the    lines,   shoulders, --
curves of your fingers
in your dark shadow

{Amber   of my    midnight
I  breathe you again}

This night will end, become jealous --
eyes of angels will      kiss the earth

I will stand in silence,
against the black sky;
tears will fall      when the dusting of snow
graces   my face

I still struggle not to sink --
    into small shapes of   water

The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket
I lean against the wind pretend I am weightless and in this moment I am happy

(smiles) Awwwwwwww, I love this, sweet friend, I have missed your gorgeous words so so much, this reminds me of September in Missouri where when I'mn with my grandparents we feel this sudden cool brezzes and the apple trees are budding in amber! (kiss on cheek) This is beautiful, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lauren, this actually leaves me speechless, you convey emotion, and truths like seldom do, I have nothing clever to say after reading this except for 'sigh' it's a keeper!

Take care,

With the heat as it is around the country,
this was a cooling read, on the sad side,
but still, I felt the chill...

thank you!

I just love your beautiful imagery, Lauren...and this poem is a sure statement that you are back in Minnesota, where there are real winters.

Lauren, your grace of writing
is a courtesy that i never tired of receiving.

All things, natural and powerful in their godmade hands,
they seem insurmountable, but with our health,
our propensity to love,
we are invincible in spirit!!
