In deepest abyss
my mainspring cries open
passing the envelope of season
into bridal weeps and tears

These seldom invitations to speak
my mind
climb from o’er the walls of silence
rattling my cage and telling me secrets
that I keep
They sprawl back with affection
steeping lore of my wile,
while I am slowly rocking wild notions,
more wild than rumor itself

Am I not the same as you, this flesh
and yet I pillar myself behind long streets
that lane way into the darkness
Hoping that it is okay
to not want
the attention of the master
For there are others waiting
and I am content
Spent
still yet, I am merely desiring

Just this detailed rewinding notion
A wishing sort of water ripple flicker

that I see you
in goldest rise
and you smile..
that warm, fresh bread morning smile

And I run, slow but hurry run
to an embrace
so absorbing
that I know you
from first force of life
to slow sigh
of sudden remembrance

All those many days
that broke
upon my wrongs
in fighting mourn and willful cast
were worth waking
for this moment

My eyes would drape closed then
And I would feel as silk and purple
on your arm,
your waistcoat the sun

I catch my breath
as a million sunsets
roll into one.

Regina~ your writing springs from a well that is so full and inviting.  I so enjoy reading the delicate trickle and constant consistancy of your words.

Regina

It seems that sometimes I could have written your thought, for they feel so familiar, yet I could never color them with the silk and lace that perfumes your poetry.  This is so lovely!

Such a deep introspective piece...
perhaps such a personal write that some parts wont be seen in its intended light..but one of those writes where each reader can take something personal away with them, each will see some of themselves in the words. Love the hints of inner rhyme and the phrasing you chose to express this lovely reflective piece.
As always...so well done Poetess Reg

So...okay....
I came
I read
I shake my head
and wish I had the words
for a proper reply....

feel like I need a shovel to get out of
this and reply properly....
