As nighthawks you lay our eggs directly on the dry path through a starving clearing The decollation of hope came quick as we struggled through once smooth, then shards of shells We tried to keep together, huddling for a time with song sparrows with nests barely hidden 'neath tufts of grass Envying the great blue herons nesting atop the tallest trees, shamed by the orioles beautifully woven hanging homes Mother, a limping kiwi, sneaked lessons of the pigeon on keeping wings folded close to the body but never to extend them as organs in flight When I learned to fly alone it was as the albatross who rarely comes to land longing to be the owl who mates for life "Happy people have no history" - French Proverb |

Hello there my feathered friend. Wonderful metaphor..You have so many ways of presenting our winged ones in relation to your thoughts. Nothing is impossible aye? Happy hugs. Sincerely, Reg |
