AUTHOR'S NOTE: I had an account at an online game site that was hacked last night by a good friend's little sister. I trusted this girl, and I wanted to record my feelings about it. I actually called the kid, and what I actually said is in regular print, and my thoughts are in italics. I just needed to rant about this, is all. ^.^ Hacked Hey. How are you doing? Now, I'm sure you're wondering why I called. No, it's not about your sister. It's about last night, when I was at your house. See, I logged onto my account last night, that free game site, where you can earn points. You know the one I'm talking about. You asked to see my mass amounts of points in my bank. You were so amazed. Yeah, well, I forgot to log off. I got on my account this morning. It was gone. No one knows my password. Don't lie to me. I know it was you. I can get your account frozen, you know. It'll all be gone. You'll have nothing there. I'll tell your mother. Boy, will she be mad. You were grounded from that sight, weren't you? Yeah. How do I know it was you? I know your name on there. You didn't take the time to delete the alert. Silly girl. I expect it all back by Friday. The online prizes that you stole too? Yes, I know you say it wasn't you. You are replacing it all by Friday or I tell your mother. I love you, kid, I thought you were cool. I still think you're neat even though you took advantage of my trust. Yeah. No, it's not the game site that matters. What if I had left my house keys there? Would you have come to my house and stolen what little I have? I can never trust you again. Stop being so defensive! I don't care if you're offended. The fact remains that you broke a basic rule. You need to learn to accept the punishment like your dog when she leaves a mess on the rug. [This message has been edited by elfin_tigress (07-24-2002 05:51 PM).] |
