I knew when I first knew and fell in love with you
I had so much many new responsibilities
Have to accept all the ups and downs
Knowing there's a cost and its never just some Annie Oakley

Through your heart I found a refuge from all this animadversion
Knowing I'm in good hands and I am my own critic
But every time you leave without saying goodbye has me nervous
Just hearing you say hi makes me feel so lovesick

No one said it would be easy
Did anyone believe in it at all
Maybe we're truly meant for each other
Maybe we're supposed to fall

Through your heart I've learned all of loves chrestomathy
Yet I need you or I'll forget much of what I learned
Every time you're busy I can feel the hand of Octobers chill touch me
Standing on an empty gray street with black roses and burning love letters

Every morning when I'm alone I make up fairy tales
I'm holding your hand and we're running in faerie gardens
And i feel your warm hands around me as I drift with you on a white horse
Just your sweet whispers of love give me goosebumps reaching your heavens

No one said it would be easy
Did anyone believe in it at all
Maybe we're truly meant for each other
Maybe we're supposed to fall

I truly believe He makes me feel this sting to help me love you even more
So I can be your perfect lover and have your golden heart soar
Still there's no reason not to ask myself
If I still mean everything to you?

But I can easily say how much I love you

My dear sweet young friend....
even when its easy it isn't easy, and its not supposed to be easy because it its too easy then its not real.
I guess the same can be said of life...
