I want to be a book that people will read. So I feel the exchange of their hands. Their thoughts as they turn the rustle of song, like summer leaves falling in autumn. I want to be a book that people will need. Like a warm cup of coffee early this morning. When the grass seems green and the sky seems gray as we rise alone to meet dawn's pane. I want to be a book that people will feed. Write in these margins. Scrawl on my face. Give me your tears. Stain me in blood. I want to be a book of our years. She said burn ... together. -TON [This message has been edited by bsquirrel (07-22-2002 07:21 PM).] |

Expressed so well. I especially like the last verse...write on my face... How we do mark and make what is precious uniquely our own. Of course, you do know it is the author that is the true treasure... ThisDiamond |

Mike Me too! I want my pages turned down at the hot parts and my ending to bring tears...I want just a little wisdom left behind for all the years. I want to be read at night before sleep. I want to be a book! Loved the idea of this! |

Awesome, baby. And, inspired by lack of sleep or not, very cool idea. I, for one, am just waking up from a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful 9 hours of sleep. Ah, refreshment. Haven't done this in months. Don't think I've gotten more than 5 hours in months. written in blood before everything went black |

You certainly have a novel way of presenting the written word and flow of thought. You are a book then..I shall enjoy reading. Sincerely, Reg |
